I don't often email you since you are a very busy person. But credit to your staff when credit is due.
I was in China on annual leave during November and start of December when Sophie Ly (my newly appointed property manager) emailed to inform me of the sudden departure of my previous tenants. During this time, I was impressed on how Sophie was able to get the property prepared and have open inspections whilst I was away. Luckily, I was able to secure a tenant before Christmas. But the most challenging part was on the first day of my new tenant moving in (17 December), the persistent pest problem from my kitchen was not totally eliminated by the pest controller from the previous week. During this stressful time, my tenant threatened to break lease. I'm happy to say now that my new tenant has just moved in (with 1 week of free rent, negotiated by Sophie).
The most important point that I wish to make is that the high quality of your property managers are due to their communication skills - much of which was tested by Sophie during this stressful time. All credit to Sophie for her excellent communication with me (during my time away) and with the new tenant to maintain her lease contract. I was very sad to see my previous manager Tim Butler retiring during 2024 but I am now happy to say that Sophie's level of service has exceeded my expectation. Please pass on my compliments to Sophie and I would be very much appreciated if you can keep Sophie as my long-term property manager for my property at Ultimo.
